The cantilever table is built from one continuous slab of western big leaf maple with hand cut dovetails and hand chopped through wedge tenons. The black outer support piece is homegrown black stock bamboo.

The tree this slab is from is one of many and milled from the Kitsap peninsula.  It was a 53 inch diameter tree which stood 28 feet high before making three splits all around 20 plus inches in diameter.

The tree was in someone's way so it was going to come down as fire wood.  What a save!!!!
 
Hence, it was milled and transformed into this one-of-kind custom piece of furniture.  All furniture is built with a behind a story and from sustainable materials.  Both of the above items are FOR SALE.
